Tuesdays are for Architecture

In the name of organisation, I've assigned each day of the week with a theme for my blog. So Tuesdays are for architecture. Today I'm inspired by buildings that mimic, or even hide in, the natural landscape. Living in a city you get so used to the stark contrast between inside and out, to get inside a building involves pushing open a door and stepping inside. What about buildings that gradually invite us in, lure us even, like the mouth of a cave or a canyon opening into a valley of wonders? Why does the shift between the building and (urban) landscape have to be so sudden, a pavement hit by a vertical wall? Look at these wonderful buildings, and be inspired!
