On the sunny side...

Hilda Grahnat is one of my contacts on Flickr and this morning I noticed she had uploaded some pictures from her beutiful home. I wanted to share it with you here, but then I saw that it is already featured on Design*Sponge today. I was pleased to find out that she has a beautiful blog and even an online shop. I started looking through her photostream. Found out that I have already posted one of her pictures here without crediting, so here's fixing that. This picture sums up how I'm feeling today... Somewhere out there the sun is shining but between me and the sunny side are thick walls and cloudy windows... I just have to find my way out there...

Sharing the love

I'm so thrilled to have found two new blogs that I absolutely love. First up is James of Bleubird Vintage. She's so fabulous, I have a total girl crush on her. She's the mother of two cool kiddos and manages to be cool, amazingly stylish and totally creative. I feel very inspired.

This makes me want to build a teepee in our living room too and play pretty Indians.

Next is the Cherry Blossom Girl. A stylish Parisienne who makes me want to wear dresses and heels and black seamed tights every day.

And look at that pretty printed screen behind her! And the mirror! And the floorboards!!!

And finally, I want these for summer!

I'd pair them with a chunky knit for spring, a delicate knit for summer, my dad's faded brown leather jacket and killer heals. On the days that I'm not chasing after my kids...

Bursting

I feel like I might explode and, alarmingly, my husband tells me I look just the way I did when I was just about to give birth to our son. He suspects the baby might come any day now and I must say I don't think it's unlikely. I'm not due 'till February 1st and tomorrow is my last day at work. I'm counting on a couple of weeks to make the final arrangements to get ready for little 'S' and to get some rest as well. I had no idea how tiring it would be to take care of a two year old with this huge bump on me! Anyway, I'm going to go to sleep at the same time as him tonight, so this is all the blogging I'm doing today. Oh, but I did tidy up in my links, took out a few sites that I never read and added some I've been following every day. Added some too that I just discovered and might be following... when I get the time...
P.S. I wish I looked as adorable as the woman in the photo! We're going to have some family photos taken at a photographer's on Saturday and I have no idea what to wear! Went and got a haircut today though. Check!
